Georgia tight end Oscar Delp has ankle taped after leaving game with injury
Georgia tight end Oscar Delp was injured in the first half of a game against Tennessee Tech, and he showed up for the second half wearing tennis shoes, his day presumably done.
Delp appeared to get rolled up on by running back Cash Jones, and he walked gingerly to the sidelines on his own power.
He then spent a little time in the injury tent before returning to the field on an ensuing special teams snap. However, following halftime Delp was in tennis shoes.
“Well coming out of halftime tight end Oscar Delp came out in tennis shoes,” sideline reporter Ashley Stroehlein said. “His right ankle is taped, but he is still very active on the sideline.”

Delp could still be seen actively participating on the sidelines.
“After Lawson Luckie scored that touchdown, he came over, picked up the iPad and went over that touchdown with Luckie,” Stroehlein said. “The two spent some time together. I actually asked Oscar, I said, ‘Did you go through it with him?’ He said, ‘Yep, that’s exactly what we were using those iPads for.'”

Carson Beck lighting it up for Georgia
Quarterback Carson Beck was exceptionally sharp in the early going. He completed his first 11 passes in the game before misfiring, and he ended the first half 16-of-22 passing for 155 yards and three touchdowns.
He did not throw an interception.
“Carson does a good job,” coach Kirby Smart said at halftime. “We’ve got to be a little more accurate down the field, but he’s done a good job getting the ball out of his hand, putting us in the right plays.”
Beck threw three touchdown passes in the first half, connecting with Dillon Bell, Dominic Lovett and Colbie Young to reach the end zone. He was on fire in the early going, through he was a touch off on some deeper routes in the second quarter.
Midway through the third quarter at the time of this writing Beck’s stat line was 18-of-25 passing for 252 yards and five touchdowns. His day is likely done.
