Report: Georgia transfer EDGE Samuel M'Pemba takes visit to Texas A&M
Georgia transfer EDGE Samuel M’Pemba is taking a visit to Texas A&M, according to a report from CBS Sports. He officially entered the transfer portal Dec. 13.
M’Pemba appeared in 11 games as a true freshman in 2023, when he totaled six tackles. However, he only made four appearances in 2024, and didn’t record a stat in that time. He will have three years of eligibility after preserving a redshirt.
M’Pemba – a St. Louis, Missouri native – played high school football at Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 44 overall player and No. 6 EDGE in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Texas A&M is the first reported visit for Samuel M’Pemba as the Aggies look to add to their transfer class. So far, Mike Elko and Co. have six commitments out of the portal, including a notable splash at wide receiver.
Former Texas Tech wide receiver Micah Hudson is making his way to College Station. He’s coming off his freshman season in Lubbock, arriving as a Five Star Plus+ recruit, meaning he was one of the only players ranked by all four major recruiting media companies as a five star. He was the No. 12 overall player from the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

After entering the portal, Hudson became one of the top transfers on the market. Through the first couple weeks of the portal window, he comes in as the No. 4 overall player and No. 3-ranked wide receiver to hit the open market, according to the On3 Industry Transfer Rankings.
Texas A&M also landed another commitment Friday night. Former Colorado EDGE Dayon Hayes announced his pledge to the Aggies, adding to the growing transfer portal haul as the seventh commit for Elko’s group.
Hayes only played in three games this past season because of an injury, but he was impressive in 2023 during his final season at Pitt. Over his 12 appearances, he totaled 45 tackles to go with 11 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks as a junior. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
