Georgia vs. Tennessee odds: Early point spread released on Bulldogs, Volunteers
With a spot in the SEC Championship already secured, Georgia now goes through its last two games of the regular season knowing one more awaits in the first weekend of December. The journey to Atlanta runs through Knoxville, though, as the Bulldogs head to Rocky Top to take on Tennessee.
The early point spread has been released for that game. Georgia is a 10.5-point favorite over Tennessee, according to FanDuel. The over/under is set at 57.5 points.
UGA secured its spot in the SEC title game before kicking off its Week 11 game against Ole Miss. The Bulldogs have been nothing short of dominant to start the season, bringing a 9-0 record into the game against Lane Kiffin and the Rebels.
Georgia continued rolled to a dominant 52-17 victory in that game. The Bulldogs entered halftime with a 28-14 lead and tightened up on defense in the second half to pull away for good while giving up just a field goal. Their rushing attack finished with an impressive 300 yards to averaged 8.6 yards per carry.
Tennessee, meanwhile, took on Georgia’s Week 10 opponent when the Volunteers made the trip to Columbia to take on Missouri. The Tigers found themselves trailing 7-3 early on, but found their stride on offense and rattled off 33 unanswered points to come away with the 36-7 victory.

For the Vols, they fell to 7-3 overall and 3-3 in SEC play — and helped Georgia secure the SEC East title in the process. Joe Milton completed 22 of 34 passes for 267 yards, a touchdown and an interception in the game while also leading Tennessee in rushing with 36 yards on the ground.
Afterward, Josh Heupel made sure to credit Missouri’s strong showing before diving into where Tennessee struggled in the game.
“Didn’t like the way we finished the ball game,” Heupel said, via VolQuest’s Grant Ramey. “We didn’t play smart enough, good enough early in the football game to win this one. And, you know, line of scrimmage, there was a stark difference. Said it early in the week that it would be a pivotal part of the football game. They were able to run the football. We weren’t. Offensively we didn’t have the efficiency that you need to go and score points. So, disappointing.”
Georgia has won the last six matchups against the Vols dating back to 2016. Last year, Tennessee made the trip to Athens with hopes of making the College Football Playoff. But the Bulldogs held strong against the Volunteers’ high-powered offense and came away with the 27-13 victory at Sanford Stadium.
Kickoff between Tennessee and Georgia is set for Nov. 18.
