Georgia's conistency helped them flip LB Anthony Kruah from North Carolina
Anthony Kruah popped up on Georgia‘s radar in the spring. Glenn Schumann visited Marietta (Ga.) during the evaluation period to get a look at the in-state line, then the Bulldogs offered in May.
Kruah committed to North Carolina in April, but once Georgia offered, they stayed consistent. They communicated through the summer, then he took in a couple of games this fall in Athens and he has flipped his commitment.
“Georgia is my dream school,” Kruah told On3. “Georgia is a great program. Coach Kirby Smart and coach Schumann are great coaches and they develop players that go to the NFL.
“The development in the linebacker room, the culture at Georgia and how it is closer to home are the biggest reasons I chose Georgia.”
Coach Schumann was a big part of this decision. The more he watched Kruah, the more he liked him. Schumann zeroed in on the 6-foot-1, 215-pound three-star and that connection factored into this decision.

FAU sources respond to Ray Lewis report from ESPN
“I honestly love that he’s a role model and a great father to his kids,” Kruah said. “He is the best linebackers coach in the country and I just love how well-spoken he is.
“We built a strong connection. Coach Schumann is a smart football coach and we talk a lot about football, but we can talk about other things too. He is a great guy that I know can help me. It doesn’t get better than that”
Georgia has added another member to its top recruiting class in 2025. Kruah is Smart and Company’s 24th commitment, and he was a big target.
They are far from done. Rasean Dinkins is another flip target for Georgia. The safety is committed to Georgia Tech. Then you have Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman Justus Terry, Florida State commits Kevin Wynn and CJ Wiley, Tennessee commit Christian Gass to name a few that Georgia is in deep with as Signing Day approaches.
