Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina – This week marked the 5th Annual Good Guys vs. Cancer event at Kill Devil Hills (NC) First Flight High School. What started in 2018 as a two-day event has now expanded into four days and 21 total games.
Good Guys vs. Cancer is run by First Flight Athletics Director and head men’s basketball coach Chad Williams in honor of his late father, Guy Williams. Proceeds from this week go towards the American Cancer Society. The 2023 version of the Good Guys vs. Cancer event is hopeful to make a donation upwards of $20,000 to the charity.
Let’s talk about the top performers from the 5th Annual Good Guys vs. Cancer.
On3 MVP: Four-Star CG Eli Ellis (South Carolina)
Eli Ellis brings the fire every time he steps on the floor. The recent South Carolina commitment had Gamecock head coach Lamont Paris in the stands watching.
The 6-foot-1 guard played comfortably on the ball. He was more of a scorer in this one, and he found a lot of buckets. Ellis has deep range on his shot, and he plays off that. In this one, he was the most effective when attacking his spots in the mid-range. He has a good feel for the game and is very crafty off the bounce with excellent balance and footwork.
Ellis is the No. 99 player in the 2025 On3 150. He finished this one with 34 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.
2. Three-Star CG Isaiah Henry (2025)
Isaiah Henry was uber-productive, and that was obvious on both ends of the floor. However, his place on this list started on the defensive end of the floor.
In this game, he defended multiple positions. At 6-foot-5 and 210 pounds, he slid his feet well guarding the ball. Henry, the younger brother of NFL defensive lineman KJ Henry, is a strong and explosive athlete. He is capable of sliding down and guarding up a lineup as well. Offensively, Henry finished well at the rim. He was great in transition and he attacked the rim with a purpose. Henry was also 2-for-2 from three in this one.
Henry is the No. 147 player in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking. He finished with a team-high 26 points in the win.
3. Four-Star PF Latrell Allmond (2026)
Latrell Allmond is a powerful forward with touch and a nose for the ball. He was in attack mode all game here, lining up at different levels and putting pressure on the defense.
Allmond is a 6-foot-8 forward. He started on the block, finishing with his back to the basket, with a go-to over his left shoulder, and showing an early counter. As the game went on, Allmond would receive the pass at the mid and high post, where he would rip through and get to the basket and finish in traffic. The sophomore has a nose for production and is not afraid to mix things up on the defensive end and the boards.
Allmond is the No. 30 player in the 2026 On3 150. He finished going 8-14 from the field for 22 points and eight rebounds in the Richmond (VA) John Marshall win.
4. Four-Star SG Austin Swartz (Miami)
Austin Swartz is a noted scorer. The Concord (NC) Cannon School guard is coming off a game where he had 31 points the previous night. In this game, he ran the show.
Swartz is a 6-foot-5 guard. His biggest threat is that he is routinely capable of creating space for himself off the bounce. Typically that helps him with his shooting, and it did in this game as well. But in this win, his team looked to play off him, and he did a good job of reading the floor and processing the play ahead. Swartz’s offensive creativity has always been intriguing., which is why he is No. 38 in the 2024 On3 150.
Swartz has committed to Miami. He finished with 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists.
5. Four-Star SF Colt Langdon (2025)
There is a toughness factor with Colt Langdon. One where you can kind of just bet on the fact that he will produce in some form or fashion.
Langdon is a 6-foot-7 wing at Raleigh (NC) Millbrook High. He has an impressive bag in the mid-range, plays with excellent balance, and is able to create space with his footwork. Langdon has a smooth touch with deep range on his jump shot, and he plays well off his threat to shoot to get to his spots. He is also a very good passer, even with his first look being to score, he adjusts well on the fly.
Langdon is the No. 79 player in the 2025 On3 150. He claims offers from the likes of Georgetown, Notre Dame, Illinois, Virginia Tech, and others. Langdon finished with 33 points and 10 rebounds.
6. Four-Star PG Chance Mallory (2025)
Chance Mallory is tough, both physically and mentally, and that really showed in this one. He was face-guarded the entire game and doubled on the catch throughout the game. The opposing team subbed his man out every two or three minutes to keep a fresh body guarding him.

Mallory was still able to create opportunities for himself. When he is on the ball, he is good at getting to his spots at multiple levels of the court. He has a smooth shooting stroke and range that extends out to 30 feet. He is also comfortable rising up in the mid-range, with a release point that does not change. Defensively, he is strong and able to get under the ball handler.
Mallory is the No. 80 player in the 2025 On3 150. He finished with 26 points, going 8-for-16 from the field.
7. Four-Star SF Sir Mohammed (Notre Dame)
Sir Mohammed brings a calming factor to his team. His play always seems to be under control and he moves the ball around to its appropriate spots with a good pace.
Nothing is flashy with Mohammed’s game, but he seems to, more often than not, find himself around the ball. His size allowed him to rebound well in this one and he did a good job of initiating the offense from different levels of the floor. Mohammed pushed the break when the opportunity presented itself, he also got the ball in the halfcourt and set things up.
Mohammed has signed with Notre Dame. He is the No. 71 overall player in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking and finished with a game-high 15 points in the Charlotte (NC) Myers Park win. He also added nine rebounds and three assists while going 3-for-6 from three.
Other Standouts
Four-Star F Sadiq White (2025) – Sadiq White is a rangy and explosive forward. He was active on the defensive end for Charlotte (NC) Myers Park High and he got out in transition, finishing above the rim. He finished with 10 points and 7 rebounds.
Three-Star PF Marcus Jackson (2025) – Marcus Jackson might have been the most explosive player in the event. He was quick-twitch, getting off the floor fast, but also explosive, putting his head at the rim. Great instincts as a rebounder and on the defensive end as well. He finished with 10 points and 17 rebounds in the win.
PG Kobe Edwards (2026) – While the output was not flashy, it was very effective. Kobe Edwards finished with a plus-20 in the win. He had six assists to go with only one turnover in the win. Wilson (NC) Greenfield is a veteran team, it was Edwards, the sophomore, that ran the show.
Four-Star SF Paul McNeil (NC State) – Even with his shot not falling, 1-for-10 from three, Paul McNeil made his mark on the game. He is a confident player with the ball in his hands. McNeil’s handle has improved as he attacked downhill and created shots for himself. McNeil orchestrated a comeback for Rockingham (NC) Richmond Senior making it a close game against Richmond (VA) John Marshall. He finished with 28 points and 15 rebounds.
SG King Gibson (2027) – King Gibson has a good feel for the game, one that expands past his age. His Burlington (NC) Burlington School team is deep with college-level talent, so he is not asked to do a lot. He finished with 10 points, going 4-for-4 from the field in 22 minutes played in the win. Earmark the name and continue paying attention.
F Don Lewis (2024) – It was quite the show that Don Lewis put on. The 6-foot-6, 300-pound forward finished with a game-high 35 points for Hickory (NC) Moravian Prep. He finished 6-for-8 from three and added 13 rebounds. His offensive versatility should have schools looking with scholarships in hand.
SF Deshawn Spellman (2026) – Even looking at Deshawn Spellman you can just see the upside. He is a thin wing prospect who made his mark with the jump shot. He has a smooth game, and as he continues to fill out, his game should continue to expand.
