Grambling State offers 4-star quarterback Jaden Rashada
HBCU Grambling State has extended an offer to Pittsburg (Calif.) four-star quarterback Jaden Rashada.
The new head coach of the Tigers is former NFL head coach Hue Jackson. Jackson was on the coaching staff at Arizona State when Jaden Rashada’s father, Harlen Rashada, played for the Sun Devils.
Rashada is the No. 46 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
He is the fifth-best quarterback in the class after Isidore Newman (New Orleans, LA) Five-Star Plus+ prospect Arch Manning, Los Alamitos (Calif.) Five-Star Plus+ prospect Malachi Nelson, Downey (Calif.) Warren five-star prospect Nico Iamaleava and Detroit Martin Luther King four-star prospect Dante Moore.
Rashada had previously announced a top-10 schools list of Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Oklahoma, Oregon, Oregon State, Penn State, UCLA and Washington.

Travis Hunter, Kevin Coleman helping paving the way for elite recruits like Jaden Rashada to go to HBCUs
Suwanee (Ga.) Collins Hill Five-Star Plus+ cornerback Travis Hunter shocked the country during the early signing period, signing with Deion Sanders and Jackson State instead of Florida State, where he was committed for nearly two years.
St. Louis (Mo.) St. Mary’s four-star wide receiver Kevin Coleman then joined his friend by committing to Jackson State during the All-American Bowl.
Hunter told On3’s Jeremy Johnson his decision to go to Jackson State went beyond just playing for Sanders — he had an opportunity to be a leader and trailblazer.
“I’m paving a way for others to follow,” Hunter said. ” Every other top prospect in the country has a spot at an HBCU just like I do.”
