When Lil Wayne became a Fan
Lil Wayne has represented the green and gold for the Packers since Brett Favre led them to a Super Bowl victory in Super Bowl XXXI. The game was between the Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots and held in his home city of New Orleans; home to the New Orleans Saints. Although they have their own NFL franchise, Wayne has said on numerous occasions that back when he was growing up hardly anybody in the city rooted for the Saints. Throughout the 80s and 90s, the Saints were one of the bottom dweller organizations of the NFL. Fans who chose to attend the games were often seen wearing paper bags on their heads.
For the Packers season opener against his hometown, New Orleans Saints Lil Wayne was in attendance. The game was a pseudo-home game as it was held in Jacksonville Florida. The game was held in Jacksonville as New Orleans and the state of Louisiana are recovering from the effects of Hurricane Ida. For the rap superstar, the game had a bittersweet ending as he watched the Saints demolish the Packers.

For tonight’s Monday night game, Lil Wayne would love to see the tables reversed from week one. The Packers are taking on one of their most hated rivals in the Detroit Lions, and nothing would make the Packers superfan and all Packers fans happier tonight than the absolute destruction of the Lions at the hands of Green Bay.
Coming off a season-opening loss, the Packers and Lil Wayne are hoping for a better showing in week two on Monday Night Football.
