ESPN’s Greg McElroy has a big question about Georgia ahead of the Bulldogs’ top five matchup with Alabama.

The former Alabama quarterback is curious about Georgia’ defensive line considering the injuries, as well as the secondary against Alabama’s wide receivers. But if the front line is banged up, Jalen Milroe could have a field day.

Ultimately, that’ll be the deciding factor between Georgia and Alabama.

“Matchup of strengths versus strengths, and that’s what you want,” McElroy said on SportsCenter. “The number two team in the country playing the number four team, should be a good matchup. That’s for sure. First thing I’m looking at with Georgia, how healthy are they?

“They got a couple guys that are banged up (on) the defensive front, which could apply pressure to Jalen Milroe. That’s the first thing they got to figure out. Then the second thing is, what’s the deal with Georgia’s secondary at the moment?”

As McElroy explained, the secondary is probably better off, at least statistically. But the former Bama star pointed out true freshman Ryan Williams flying down the field could be an issue for Georgia.

“Now, right now, statistically speaking, they look excellent,” McElroy said of Georgia’s secondary. “I think they have really good players in the back end, but that was the position group that had to replace a lot of key pieces off (of) last year’s team. So I haven’t quite found out, at least through the first few games, if they have adequately done that.

“Bama does have the weapons at wide receiver to take advantage like true freshman phenom Ryan Williams and Jalen Milroe is great on the deep ball as well. So I think Bama’s receivers against that secondary, and the health of that Georgia defensive line are pivotal storylines heading into Saturday’s game.”

Georgia heads to Tuscaloosa to take on Alabama Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
