4-star IOL Gregory Patrick down to four schools

Four schools are at the top of the list for Portage (Mich.) Northern four-star interior offensive lineman Gregory Patrick, one of the top prospects in the Great Lake State.
The 6-foot-4.5, 280-pounder told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Wednesday that Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Penn State are his top schools.
Patrick is the No. 139 overall prospect and No. 9 IOL in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 2 player in Michigan.
On3 ranks him higher than other recruiting services. He checks in as the No. 95 recruit, No. 7 IOL and top-ranked player in Michigan, per the On300.
Patrick has already locked in official visits to each of his finalists. He’s set to see Penn State (May 30), Michigan State (June 6), Notre Dame (June 13) and Michigan (June 20) across a busy four-week span in the summer.

“I would say academics are a big part of the school I’ll choose,” Patrick told On3’s Steve Wiltfong last month. “Having a degree I’d wish to major in. You could wrap that up with life after football stuff. Second would be the development of the position. Programs that have taken and put guys in the NFL frequently and coaches and what their plan looks like for that. Then overall culture of the program and what the locker room is like is the biggest things I have.”

Patrick plans to take visits before committing
The blue-chipper has previously noted that a summer decision is likely in the cards following his official visits. Patrick has built solid relationships with each of his top schools, been on each campus and continues to get a feel for what will suit him best at the next level.
Pulling Patrick out of his home state won’t be easy, but the Fighting Irish and Nittany Lions are right alongside the Wolverines and Spartans heading into April. He was visited by coaches from each school in January.
After visiting Michigan State earlier this month, Patrick is set to see Notre Dame next this Friday. The Irish have already landed a pair of commitments from offensive linemen in the state of Michigan this cycle, as both Davison (Mich.) four-star IOL Ben Nichols and Allegan (Mich.) three-star IOL Sullivan Garvin are already in the fold for head coach Marcus Freeman, OL coach Joe Rudolph and Co.
