Last week, Matt Corral dropped entirely off Matt Zenitz’s Heisman Hot Board. This week, he has regained the number one spot on Charles Power’s list and has moved back to number three on Zenitz’s.

We’ve made it midway through the season, the top picks are becoming more clear.

Matt Zenitz and Charles Power break down their picks for this week’s Heisman Hot Board:

Charles Power’s list

QB Matt Corral, Ole Miss

The crazy weekend in college football has the top of this list in flux. It’s safe to say this is highly fluid, particularly for midway through the season. Corral assumes the top spot as he continues to play at a high level. This week, he accounted for 381 yards and four touchdowns while leading Ole Miss to a tight win over No. 13 Arkansas. Corral has yet to throw an interception in 146 pass attempts. We’ve seen Corral increase his rushing load this year. He’s showing some athleticism and physicality as a runner in the red zone, rushing for eight scores so far.

RB Kenneth Walker III, Michigan State

Walker and the undefeated Spartans continue to be one of the bigger surprises this season. The Wake Forest transfer leads the nation in rushing by 122 yards while averaging 7.08 yards per carry. Walker had one of his better games of the season on Saturday with 233 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries in a win over Rutgers. The highlight came on a 94 yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

RB Bijan Robinson, Texas

Robinson had a legitimate Heisman moment on Saturday with an incredible winding touchdown run in the second quarter of the Red River Showdown. The Longhorns would eventually succumb to a furious Oklahoma comeback, but Robinson continues to look like one of the best players in the nation. The former five-star prospect is currently fourth nationally in rushing with 789 yards and eight touchdowns while averaging 6.31 yards per carry.

Bryce Young, Alabama

Young is knocked off his top spot following a 41-38 loss at Texas A&M. The Crimson Tide signal caller finished the game 28-48 for 369 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. The former No. 1 overall prospect was under duress for much of the contest. Still, he looks like one of the better signal callers nationally and has plenty of opportunities to make a move as Alabama continues in SEC play.

QB Kenny Pickett, Pitt

Pickett probably should’ve been on my list last week. The fifth-year senior has the Panthers offense playing as well as any in the country. The game has slowed down for Pickett and he’s picking apart defenses with a variety of throws. He’s completed 72 percent of his passes at 10.3 yards per attempt for 1,731 yards and 19 touchdowns with just one interception. Pickett also has the best QBR nationally. Pitt plays Virginia Tech and Clemson the next two weeks.

QB CJ Stroud, Ohio State

Stroud and Ohio State are quietly rolling since the second-year quarterback returned from injury two weeks ago. Since returning, the former five-star has thrown for 736 yards and 10 touchdowns and zero picks while shredding Rutgers and Maryland. The Buckeye offense is picking up steam and Stroud looks to be on the same page with his talented receiver corps. Don’t be surprised to see Stroud rise if continues to play at this level with several big games remaining. Ohio State’s true freshman running back TreVeyon Henderson also has a case, as does Coastal Carolina quarterback Grayson McCall

Matt Zenitz’s list

RB Kenneth Walker III, Michigan State

Walker, who ran for 233 yards and a touchdown in a win over Rutgers last week, has run for an average of 183 yards in Michigan State’s four games against Power Five opponents.
