The second full week of the college football season has been completed, with plenty of upsets occurring on Saturday. With that, a reshuffled list of Heisman Trophy odds has been released, including a new name at the No. 1 overall spot compared to last week’s.

Ohio State quarterback CJ Stroud is now considered the favorite, overtaking Alabama‘s Bryce Young. Three other quarterbacks follow the duo, meaning the entire top five come from the same position. Edge rusher Will Anderson is the first non-QB available at +2200.

Heisman Trophy favorites after Week 2

To no surprise, a quarterback will be the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy. Georgia’ Stetson Bennett has been a name putting up good numbers in the Bulldogs’ opening two games. The national champion already has 668 yards, three touchdowns, and has yet to throw an interception. As Bennett continues to lead his deep toward a playoff run, he should continue to be among the favorites.

Alabama running back Jahmyr Gibbs is the first offensive skill position to debut, being a threat both rushing and catching the ball. Thus far with the Crimson Tide, Gibbs has 194 total yards and one touchdown. For now, he’s on pace to have over 1,200 total yards. The best is yet to come in Tuscaloosa.
