Heisman Trophy Trust reveals top 10 voting distribution
Alabama quarterback Bryce Young won the Heisman Trophy on Saturday, making him the first quarterback in Alabama program history to take home the honor.
Young won the popular vote, earning 684 first place votes, which is the tenth highest in the award’s history. In addition, he received 83% of total possible points, which is the seventh highest in the history of the Heisman Trophy, surpassing Cam Newton, who received 81.55% in 2010.

The Heisman Trophy Trust gives out 928 votes annually: 870 votes go to media members, making up the large majority of the Heisman voters, and 57 go to present Heisman Trophy winners. Additionally, since 1999, the Trust has allotted one fan vote towards the overall total. Each ballot can vote for three players.
Young edged out three other finalists in Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett, Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson and Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud, who make up the top four of the Heisman Trophy voting results. Here’s a list of the top 10 Heisman finishers in 2021, listed in order by total points.
