Ashton Jeanty: The only thing that has stopped Jeanty so far is an open date.

Cam Ward: Ward threw for five touchdowns against Ball State on Saturday, and so far Miami’s offense hasn’t had a bad day with him.

Jaxson Dart: Dart is averaging an absurd 13.3 yards per attempt.

Ari Wasserman

1. QB Cam Ward, Miami
2. QB Jalen Milroe, Alabama
3. QB Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss

Cam Ward: Miami is considered the favorite to win the ACC right now and that isn’t true if Ward isn’t on the team. He has put up more than 300 yards passing in each of his first three games and he added five touchdowns Saturday. As competition gets tougher, Ward can prove he belongs in this spot with more great performances like the one he put on against Florida.

Jalen Milroe: We had a hunch Milroe would be improved this year under head coach Kalen DeBoer, but he absolutely is playing like a more complete quarterback. Being Alabama’s quarterback is an advantage in the Heisman Trophy race, but if he keeps winning and performing, he’ll be on this list for the rest of the year. Milroe has 14 touchdowns through his first three games and now has Georgia next on the schedule.

Jaxson Dart: Through three games this year, Dart has 1,172 passing yards and eight touchdowns. Ole Miss’ offense is stacked and the numbers will continue to pile up. If Dart gets some big-time wins in New York, he’ll have the story and the numbers to make a strong case.

Jesse Simonton

1. QB Quinn Ewers, Texas
2. QB Cam Ward, Miami
3. RB Ashton Jeanty, Boise State

Quinn Ewers: Not going to penalize Ewers for exiting the UTSA blowout early with an abdominal injury. Still had two touchdowns and is a week removed from the most impressive performance in his career against Michigan.

Cam Ward: Miami’s quarterback has been a touchdown machine this season (12 total) and he’s operating Shannon Dawson’s offense with ruthless efficiency (11.2 ypa). Against Ball State, Ward had 10 completions over 20 yards.

Ashton Jeanty: Despite being on a bye week, Boise State’s tailback still ranks No. 2 nationally in rushing and is tied for the lead with nine touchdowns. Jeanty is averaging over a first down (10.2) every time he carries the rock.

1. RB Ashton Jeanty, Boise State
2. QB Cam Ward, Miami
3. QB Jalen Milroe, Alabama

Ashton Jeanty: Jeanty is still second nationally in rushing yards and tied for first in rushing touchdowns (9) despite just playing two games. A game against Washington State that could have CFP implications looms large.

Cam Ward: Ward made easy work of Ball State to the tune of 346 yards (12.4 yards per attempt) and five touchdowns. He continues to operate Miami’s offense at a very efficient rate.

Jalen Milroe: Milroe has been a touchdown machine this season and played his best game of the year to date on the road against Wisconsin. His ability to threaten defenses as a downfield passer along with his lethal rushing ability bodes well for his Heisman Trophy chances.

JD PicKell

1. QB Jalen Milroe, Alabama
2. QB Cam Ward, Miami
3. QB Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss

Jalen Milroe: Throttled Wisconsin with another multiple rushing & passing touchdown performance. Whether it’s Pop Warner or FBS, 14 total touchdowns through three games is elite against any competition.

Cam Ward: Not exactly stiff competition against Ball State but over 300 yards passing for the third time this season and five touchdowns to go with it.

Jaxson Dart: Putting up video game numbers. Would put him higher on this list if Ole Miss had played better competition but give credit for passing the tests the way they’re supposed to be passed.
