Herschel Walker prepared to fight for Reggie Bush
Herschel Walker has Reggie Bush’s back. In an appearance on Big Noon Kickoff, the Georgia legend spoke about his belief that Bush deserves his Heisman Trophy back.
“I enjoyed watching Reggie a great deal, and I’ll tell you what – I’m a big fan of Reggie Bush,” said Walker. “I’ve been saying I think Reggie Bush should get his Heisman back.
Additionally, Walker mentioned that he’s gone as far as speaking to the Heisman people himself on Bush’s behalf.
“They really don’t give me an answer, and I don’t know why he don’t have it,” said Walker.
Furthermore, Walker is willing to fight for Bush. He put it out there, if Bush is game, Walker will do whatever he can.
“If Reggie wants to, I’ll go with him,” said Walker. “I’d help fight with him right now to get his Heisman back.
“One thing about it is he gave it up! It’s not like they took it from him, he gave it up. That shows you the type of character he has.”
The charge for Bush to get his Heisman back picked up great steam after NIL came to fruition, and Walker is trying to lead the charge once again. If Bush decides to attempt to get his award back once again, at least he has one high profile supporter with him.
Herschel Walker officially announces candidacy for US Senate
While Walker is backing up Bush, he’s also making big moves in the world of politics. Earlier this summer, the former Georgia running back announced his plan to run for US Senate in the state of Georgia.
Additionally, Walker confirmed that he will be a part of the Republican ticket in the 2022 election. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution first reported Walker’s candidacy, also reporting that former President Donald Trump has played a large role in kick starting Walker’s political career.

Walker’s Announcement
The former Georgia running back detailed his reasons for getting into the world of politics in a video announcement.
“At my core, I’m a runner, but I wasn’t always fast,” Walker said in a video announcement. “Here is Wrightsville, Georgia, it’s just a little town. It’s where I grew up and I got real fast. I learned discipline, faith in God, and the value of hard work. I learned about sacrificing things you want in the moment for the future you know you can have if you work hard enough. I’ve been a lot of places but in Wrightsville, I learned important lessons. If you want it bad enough, you work for it, you can get it. You might stumble, make mistakes. But you only fail if you give up.
“The politicians pit American against American, rich versus poor, blight versus white, urban versus rural. I don’t believe in that garbage. It’s a lie. I’m a conservative, not because someone told me to be, I’m conservative because I believe in smaller government, a strong military, personal responsibility and making sure all people have the opportunity to pursue their dreams. That’s an America worth fighting for.
“My name is Herschel Walker and I’m running for the United States Senate. I’m a kid from a small town in Georgia who’s lived the American dream. And I’m ready to fight to keep that dream alive for you too.”
