Another top NCAA Basketball transfer portal prospect just found a home. Creighton transfer Arthur Kaluma has transferred to Kansas State, according to Jeff Goodman.
Last season, Kaluma averaged 11.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game for the Bluejays. Kansas State beat out programs such as Kentucky, Alabama and Texas Tech for the coveted big man.
The announcement comes as a shock to surrounding programs. Kaluma was reportedly scheduled to visit both Alabama and Kentucky this week. Nonetheless, the 6-foot-7 forward will be joining forces with the team that bounced the UK Wildcats in March.
According to On3 Industry Rankings, Kaluma was a four-star prospect exiting high school. Most analysts believes Kaluma was the second-best big man remaining in the transfer portal, trailing only North Dakota State’s Grant Nelson.

Kaluma initially announced he was entering the 2023 NBA Draft on April 23 in a written message to the Creighton faithful.
“To my Creighton coaches, teammates, and Blue Jay Nation, thank you for an unforgettable two years in Omaha. I am proud of what we accomplished together and will cherish the memories and relationships for a lifetime.”
While Kaluma evaluated his standing with NBA scouts, he ultimately decided to withdraw from the draft on May 31. Kansas State fans will be thankful for the decision. After falling to Florida Atlantic in the Elite 8 last season, Kaluma will provide the Wildcats with another weapon to hunt postseason success in the 2023-2024 season.
