How Alabama and LSU match up as recruits

For over the past decade, there has been no rivalry that can compete with the pure drama that has been Alabama vs. LSU.

Starting with their infamous slugfest in 2011 — which will be 11 years to the day on Saturday — the Crimson Tide and Tigers have played 12 times. One of those times was in the national championship.

The other 11 all featured at least one team ranked in the top 5 in the country. Five times both teams were ranked in the top five. Twice — not including the 2012 BCS Championship — were battles between the No. 1 and No. 2 ranked teams in the country.

This Saturday’s battle won’t have as high stakes as those but both teams enter with top 15 rankings and a lot to prove. Here’s how most of the main contributors of the two teams match up as recruits:
