5-star QB Husan Longstreet signs with USC Trojans
Corona (Calif.) Centennial five-star quarterback Husan Longstreet has signed with USC.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder is the No. 20 overall prospect and No. 4 QB in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the top-ranked player in California.
Longstreet originally committed to Texas A&M in April, and that pledge looked solid throughout much of the fall. The in-state gunslinger really emerged as an option in the fall, once it became more apparent that four-star QB Julian Lewis was not going to wind up in the fold in Los Angeles.
On the same day that Lewis decommitted, Longstreet flipped from the Aggies to the Trojans. He joined the class on Nov. 17 and now headlines things for head coach Lincoln Riley.
“What made USC right for me is what Coach Riley has done in the past,” Longstreet told On3. “He has five quarterbacks starting in the NFL right now and four that won the Heisman. It’s hard to turn down something special like that.”

As a senior, Longstreet missed the first two games of the season for Centennial, but proceeded to throw for 1,708 yards and 19 touchdowns in 10 games. He also ran for 494 yards and six scores, leading the Huskies to a semifinal appearance in the CIF-Southern Section playoffs.
Longstreet has an NIL Valuation of $897,000. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
Husan Longstreet Scouting Summary
On3’s scouting and rankings team writes this of Longstreet as a prospect:
“Top arm talent with arguably the strongest arm in the 2025 cycle. Has an absolute flamethrower attached to his right arm. Owns a compact build at a shade under 6-foot-1, 195 pounds prior to his senior season. Muscled with little to no fat on his body. Has the largest hands among blue-chip quarterbacks in the cycle that measure at 11 inches. Capable of touching all areas of the field with his phenomenal arm strength. Passes have considerable velocity. Throws with a whippy ¾ to sidearm delivery. Plays in an uptempo offense at the offensive level that utilizes RPO’s. Makes eye-popping downfield throws, ripping passes down the seam from 40 yards out. Can stick the ball on covered receivers who are seemingly unguarded. Shows the ability to go through reads and attack the middle of the field. A twitchy mover who also presents a run threat on designed runs and on scrambles. Makes defenders miss in space.
…Turned in three strong seasons as a varsity starter. Transferred to Corona Centennial as a junior and fared well against top competition as a junior, completing 66.8% of his passes for 3,013 yards (10.1 yards per attempt), 24 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. Also rushed for 645 yards and 7 touchdowns. Had an efficient senior season despite missing some time with an injury, throwing for 1,641 yards (9.9 yards per attempt) and 19 touchdowns against four interceptions. Doesn’t have great stature when projecting him as a pocket operator and can continue improving his consistency and ability to layer his passes. Combination of elite arm talent and athleticism gives him one of the highest ceilings among 2025 quarterback prospects.”
