Texas A&M commit Husan Longstreet excited to compete at the Elite 11 Finals
Corona (Calif.) Centennial On300 quarterback and Texas A&M commit Husan Longstreet is one of 20 signal-callers invited to compete in this week’s Elite 11 Finals.
“The 2024 Elite 11 Finals will bring together top performers to receive advanced, one-on-one quarterback instruction in a highly competitive setting. The 2024 Elite 11 Finals will span three days and include on-field drills, competition, classroom instruction and off-field development.
“The 2024 Elite 11, and 2024 Elite 11 MVP, will be named at the conclusion of the Elite 11 Finals.”
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Longstreet and his peers take the field to start the competition on Tuesday night in Los Angeles.
“Really just being able to learn from some of these great coaches and being able to compete against some of the top players,” Longstreet said of what he’s looking forward to. “It’s a blessing to be able to follow the path of Bryce Young, CJ Stroud.
“It’s really great to follow these greats.”
As a junior Longstreet completed nearly 67 percent of his passes for 3,013 yards and 24 touchdowns with another 645 yards rushing and seven more scores. He believes the Elite 11 Finals can take him up another level going into his senior season.

“Compete and learn,” Longstreet said of the expectations. “I want to learn, expand my mind about the game of football. That’s really it.”
The On3 Industry ranks Longstreet as the nation’s No. 6 quarterback and No. 34 prospect overall. He has been a verbal to the Aggies since April, choosing to play for head coach Mike Elko and his staff over Auburn, Oregon, Ole Miss and UCLA among others.
“I just love everything that they’re doing,” Longstreet said. He returned to campus for his official visit earlier this month. “The plan doesn’t change. Coach Elko, what he’s building is a championship team. I get that a lot from the players.
“I talk to the players and they all feel that’s the goal and they’re all inching towards it.”
