USC QB commit Husan Longstreet is new 5-star in updated 2025 On300
With the Early Signing Period just over two weeks away, On3 has updated its recruiting rankings for the 2025 class. Corona (Calif.) Centennial quarterback and new USC commit Husan Longstreet is the No. 13 overall prospect and a new five-star in the 2025 On300.
The latest edition of On3’s 2025 rankings features 25 five-star prospects, up six from the previous update in September. Of those 25 five-stars, 23 are committed to college programs.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Longstreet flipped his commitment to the Trojans from Texas A&M on Nov. 17. The in-state program began to gain momentum for Longstreet earlier this month, got him to campus for a game visit over the weekend and completed the flip on Sunday. He was previously committed to the A&M since April.
“What made USC right for me is what Coach Riley has done in the past,” Longstreet told On3. “He has five quarterbacks starting in the NFL right now and four that won the Heisman. It’s hard to turn down something special like that.”

Longstreet, now the No. 3 QB in the cycle, is the lone On300 five-star in USC’s 2025 recruiting class, though wide receiver Jerome Myles is also in the mix as a five-star prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking. With the Early Signing Period closing in, the Trojans have a top-15 class in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
Scout’s Take on Husan Longstreet
On3’s Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power writes this of Longstreet as a prospect:
“Husan Longstreet is a top arm talent with arguably the strongest arm in the 2025 cycle. Has an absolute flamethrower attached to his right arm. Owns a compact build at a shade under 6-foot-1, 195 pounds prior to his senior season. Muscled with little to no fat on his body. Has the largest hands among blue-chip quarterbacks in the cycle that measure at 11 inches. Capable of touching all areas of the field with his phenomenal arm strength. Passes have considerable velocity. Throws with a whippy ¾ to sidearm delivery. Plays in an uptempo offense at the offensive level that utilizes RPO’s. Makes eye-popping downfield throws, ripping passes down the seam from 40 yards out. Can stick the ball on covered receivers who are seemingly unguarded. Shows the ability to go through reads and attack the middle of the field. A twitchy mover who also presents a run threat on designed runs and on scrambles.”
