Texas A&M 5-star QB commit Husan Longstreet visiting USC
USC has a monumental visitor inside the L.A. Coliseum for its game against Nebraska on Saturday afternoon.
Corona (Calif.) Centennial five-star quarterback Husan Longstreet is in attendance for the Trojans’ game against the Cornhuskers, according to WeAreSC’s Scott Schrader. The current Texas A&M commit has become a top target for Lincoln Riley and Co. down the stretch this fall.
USC still has a commitment from Carrollton (Ga.) four-star QB Julian Lewis, though the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine now favors the Peach State standout to flip to Colorado. With uncertainty surrounding Lewis, the Trojans are now making a heavy push for Longstreet, the in-state standout.
On Friday night, USC QBs coach Luke Huard was in attendance to watch Longstreet and Centennial emerge victorious in the CIS state playoffs against Mission Viejo. Now, the five-star is in Los Angeles returning the favor.
QB Dominoes could lead Longstreet to USC
Longstreet has been committed to Texas A&M since April, but the tide could be turning toward the Big Ten program with the Early Signing Period less than three weeks out. Earlier this week, On3’s Steve Wiltfong gave an update on USC’s push for the Aggie pledge:

“Well, I think talks have intensified with in-state quarterback, local quarterback — five-star Husan Longstreet,” Wiltfong said. “He’s committed to Texas A&M. Here’s what I know about USC and quarterback recruiting — Lincoln Riley basically recruits guys one at a time. So when he was locked in on Julian Lewis, Bryce Underwood wanted to visit. ‘Nope. Nope, nope, nope — no quarterbacks on campus. We’re all-in on Julian Lewis, he’s our guy.’
“Things are picking up with Husan Longstreet, and USC needs to sign a quarterback in 2025,” he continued. “He’s the only one they’re recruiting right now, which tells me that they have confidence that they can flip Husan Longstreet. Because, if they didn’t, they would be on another guy. Maybe they were on Bryce Baker, who is committed to North Carolina, but Bryce Baker looks strong with the Tar Heels.”
After beginning his senior season with an injury, Longstreet has been outstanding for Centennial amidst his senior campaign. The Huskies are now one of four remaining teams in the CIF-Southern Section Division I bracket, alongside fellow powers Mater Dei, St. John Bosco and Orange Lutheran. The five-star has thrown for over 1,400 yards and over 18 touchdowns this season.
Longstreet is the No. 23 overall prospect and No. 4 QB in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 2 player in California.
