Indiana extended an offer Sunday to Miami Edison three-star EDGE and Florida commit Francois Nolton.

The offer came in the wake of Dan Mullen‘s dismissal as head coach of the Gators earlier on Sunday.

The On3 Consensus – a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies – has Nolton as No. 471 overall recruit in the country.

Florida’s recruiting class is in flux

Indiana might not be the only team to offer Francois Nolton over the next few days. The nine current commits in the Gators recruiting class will have a lot of thinking to do after Mullen’s firing.

Some of have already turned their thoughts into action. Ocala (Fla.) Forest four-star wide receiver Jamarrien Burt became the first player to decommit from the school after Mullen’s announcment.

Orlando (Fla.) Bishop Moore Catholic four-star wide receiver Chander Smith announced he was reopening his recruitment but not decommitting.

And Flower Mound (Texas) Flower Mound four-star quarterback Nick Evers released a statement where he says he hopes to play for the Gators but understands it depends on how he vibes with the new head coach.

“While I’m hopeful to have a role with (Florida), thus my staying verbally committed, it would be reckless not to understand options until a new coach is named,” Evers said. “I chose Florida for so many reasons other than football and those are still largely in place. I love Gator Nation and want to be here — my hope is that the new staff will have the same love for me and my family!”

Lithonia (Ga.) Deerfield Beach three-star offensive tackle David Conner tweeted that he is committed to the Gators no matter who the coach is. He tweeted before the Mullen news.

“I committed to The University of Florida, not a coach,” Conner said. “I think that should answer all your questions.”
