Indiana quarterback Tayven Jackson has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos has learned. Jackson spent the past two seasons with the Hoosiers and will have two years of eligibility remaining at his next stop.

Jackson appeared in 13 games over the past two years in Bloomington, starting five as a redshirt freshman in 2023. He ends his career at Indiana with 1,263 yards passing and six touchdowns to six interceptions.

Jackson originally committed to Tennessee as a four-star prospect out of the 2022 class before transferring the Indiana after one year with the Vols. He ranked as the No. 186 overall player and No. 11 quarterback in the cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Jackson’s decision to enter the transfer portal comes just one day after the Hoosiers lost in the College Football Playoff against Notre Dame by a score of 27-17. Indiana finished the regular season with an 11-1 record, the most wins in program history.

Tayven Jackson ranks as the No. 119 and No. 9 transfer quarterback according to On3’s Transfer Portal Player Rankings. The Hoosiers have so far seen nine players enter the portal this offseason and brought in five more to rank No. 45 in On3’s Transfer Portal Team Rankings.

Penn State transfer QB Beau Pribula to visit Ole Miss, Indiana after UCF

Penn State transfer quarterback Beau Pribula is expected to visit Ole Miss and Indiana, On3’s Pete Nakos reported. He is currently taking a visit to UCF.

Pribula is set to head to Oxford on Saturday before making the trip to Bloomington following IU’s College Football Playoff matchup against Notre DameIowa and Missouri have also expressed interest in Pribula as he schedules his transfer portal visits.

Pribula officially entered the portal Dec. 16 after announcing his plans to do so a day earlier. His decision was a surprising one since Penn State is gearing up to host a CFP game, but he cited the college football calendar as a reason he had to leave the team in an “impossible decision.”

“Growing up in Pennsylvania, it has always been a dream of mine to play football for Penn State,” Pribula wrote. “Wearing the blue & white these last 3 years has brought me some of the greatest moments or my life. The current NCAA post-season model creates a challenge for student-athletes. The overlapping CFB playoff & transfer portal timeline has forced me into an impossible decision.

“After speaking at length with my family and coaches, it is with a heavy heart that l announce my intentions to enter the transfer portal and depart from the team to explore opportunities elsewhere. I want to thank the coaches, my teammates, the fanbase, and everyone else who has supported me along this journey. For the rest of my life, I stand proud as a Penn State graduate and letterman.”
