Former Indiana power forward Malik Reneau has cut his commitment down to five schools, according to On3’s Joe Tipton. Reneau will choose between Arkansas, Auburn, Miami, Michigan and USC.

Reneau is the No. 14 overall player in the current On3 transfer portal rankings and the No. 3 power forward. He initially entered the portal on March 19. According to On3’s Keegan Pope, he will have one season of eligibility to play for whichever of these five schools he chooses to commit to.

Reneau averaged 13.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists to go with a 55.2% field goal percentage, which ranked top 50 in the nation this season. However, he did experience a drop off in production compared to his sophomore season with the Hoosiers.

During the 2023-24 season, he logged career-highs across the board with 15.4 points per game, 6.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists. He started all 33 games he appeared in for the Hoosiers as a sophomore. However, he started 19 of the 26 he appeared in as a junior.

His transer came following the pre-planned departure of head coach Mike Woodson. He originally committed to Woodson alongside guard Jalen Hood-Schifino in the 2022 recruiting class.

As of Wednesday, March 26, over 1,250 Men’s College Basketball players have entered the NCAA Transfer Portal. That number is expected to grow as the 2024-25 college basketball season nears its end.

Former Indiana guard Gabe Cupps commits to Ohio State

Indiana guard Gabe Cupps has committed to Ohio State out of the NCAA transfer portal. He announced the news last week on his Instagram account.

Cupps is a 6-foot-2, 180-pound sophomore. He appeared in just four games for Indiana during the 2024-25 season but had a much more productive freshman campaign. As a freshman in 2023-24, Gabe Cupps averaged 2.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. He played in 33 contests, starting in 22 of them.

In two seasons, Cupps has shot 33.3% from 3-point range. He shot 35.9% as a freshman but missed his only three attempts of the 2024-25 season.
