On July 29, On3 broke the news that Kwame Evans Jr. was looking to go to Oregon, not Arizona. At the time of the article, the industry predictions was almost 100-percent geared toward Arizona. At the time of that article, I placed an expert pick into On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) for Evans to pick Oregon with 55-percent confidence.

Today, as I continue to gather intel, I raised my confidence level for the five-star to choose Oregon to 95-percent.

With this expert pick, On3’s RPM now gives Oregon a 57.8-percent chance of landing 2023’s No. 3 On3 Consensus player.

Mookie Cook?

On June 30, On3’s Joe Tipton broke the news that On3 Consensus five-star Mookie Cook was decommitting from Oregon. Immediately, the thought surrounding Cook, who spent the Summer playing young Lebron James in the upcoming movie ‘Shooting Stars,’ was that he would join the G-League.

Watch closely how this plays out with Kwame Evans Jr. choosing the Ducks. Cook and Evans have spoken about playing together. Evans committing to Oregon is the type of talent Cook wants to team up with at his home state schools.

By no means is Cook a done deal to Oregon when Evans commits, but watch for the movement here. Based on intel, I have placed my expert pick into On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) with 45-percent confidence for Cook to recommit to Oregon for now.
