No. 2 Iowa (14-1, 7-1) hosts No. 10 Oklahoma State (13-2, 7-1) in the latest edition of the historic matchup between the two wrestling powers. We previewed and predicted the 10 bouts slated for the dual Sunday to cap off the regular season.

With the individual postseason right around the corner, this is one of the best ways to cap off the dual season. Iowa is the favorite in this matchup on paper, but the Cowboys should bring the fight.

Below are the matchups and predictions for this weekend’s contest

Iowa defeats Oklahoma State 21-15

Iowa can get the ball rolling in a big way with Lee. Anything less than a tech fall could be a win for Oklahoma State.

However, Fix will counter and get bonus points with a major decision at minimum. That’s when Woods will take the match at 141 to put Iowa back up by four points.

Murin will continue it before Gfeller will get the decision to cut it back to a four point lead at intermission.

Kennedy gets the win at 165 followed by Plott getting one back for Oklahoma State. Now here’s where it gets interesting for the dual.

Without Abe Assad, presumably, Iowa is in a hole at 184 points. We’ll call for Wittlake to get the tech fall and give the Cowboys their first lead of the match.

However, Warner will save it for the Hawkeyes. While he hasn’t picked off everyone this year and Surber is a worthy opponent, we’ll save the upset alert here. Cassioppi will finish off with bonus points for good measure.
