Omaha (Neb.) Millard South three-star athlete Amarion Jackson has committed to Iowa State, he announced on Monday.

He chose the Cyclones over offers from Kansas State, Iowa, Kansas, Illinois, Minnesota and others.

Jackson is the No. 521 overall prospect and No. 32 ATH in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 2 player in Nebraska.

Head coach Matt Campbell and his staff land a big Midwest recruiting win, adding Jackson to a 2026 class that now features eight commits and ranks No. 43 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Jackson is the highest-ranked prospect in the mix for the Cyclones.

Jackson is also the second commit in the class out of Omaha, joining Omaha Central three-star safety Kaprice Keith, who pledged back in November.

More on Iowa State Recruiting

Iowa State’s first 2026 commitment came back in October, as Fort Collins (Colo.) three-star offensive tackle Mason Bandhauer pledged. Prior Lake (Minn.) OT Ethan Beckman and Keith then jumped in the following month. Both Bandhauer and Keith are top-10 players in their respective states.

Akron (Ohio) Walsh Jesuit three-star wide receiver Milan Parris and Ames (Iowa) WR Jeffrey Roberts each committed in January, while Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward safety Brayden Thomas and Minnetonka (Minn.) ATH Caleb Francois both committed last month.

Last cycle, Iowa State signed 20 prospects, leading to the No. 58 class in the nation. Algona (Iowa) four-star quarterback Alex Manske headlined the signees, finishing as On3’s No. 55 overall recruit and No. 8 QB in the nation.
