Omaha (Neb.) Millard South four-star quarterback and Iowa State commit Jett Thomalla is headed to Los Angeles this summer for the Elite 11 Finals.

The camp invitation, which takes place June 17-19, comes after a standout performance at Sunday’s Elite 11 regional event in Nashville.

He becomes the seventh passer to earn an invite to L.A., joining Texas five-star commit Dia Bell, Houston five-star signal-caller Keisean Henderson, Tennessee five-star pledge Faizon Brandon, Miami four-star commit Dereon Coleman, USC four-star commit Jonas Williams and Louisville three-star commit Briggs Cherry.

There are few higher honors for prep quarterbacks than being invited to the event, which will celebrate its 26th year in 2025. It bring together 20 of the country’s elite signal-callers for three days of competition and training in Los Angeles during the month of June.

Elite 11 alumni include Carson PalmerAndrew LuckMatthew StaffordTim Tebow, and more recently Trevor LawrenceC.J. StroudBryce Young and more. Last year’s Elite 11 Finals featured more than a dozen of the top 20 quarterbacks in the final On3 Industry Rankings, including five of the top six players at the position.

Thomalla coming off a massive junior season

The 6-foot-5, 195-pound Thomalla led Millard South to a 12-1 record and a Class A championship last fall — marking the school’s first in 15 years. He also set state classification records in passing yards, touchdown passes and completions. Over those 15 games, he completed 250 of 359 passes (69.6%) for 3,663 yards with 47 touchdowns and three interceptions.

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, he is the No. 221 overall prospect and No. 16 quarterback in the 2026 class.

On3, however, is quite a bit higher on him than other services. In the most recent On300 rankings, he was tabbed as the nation’s No. 123 recruit and No. 10 signal-caller.

Thomalla committed to the Cyclones earlier this month, choosing them over offers from Iowa, Duke, Missouri, Arizona and more than a dozen other programs.
