Three-Star CG Isaiah Henry recaps Clemson official; talks South Carolina, Georgetown, and Georgia
Isaiah Henry is the No. 6 combo guard in the 2025 On3 150. The 6-foot-4 junior at Concord (NC) Cannon School played with Team CP3 this summer on Nike’s EYBL E16 Circuit where he averaged 14.6 points through his 18 games this summer.
“I’m a downhill driver,” Henry told On3. “That’s what I tell myself every game. I know because of my build, my frame, and my size, I wanna attack every game. And with that mentality, that creates for my other teammates and things like that. I’m a confident shooter, and I know my guys, they have my back. Every time I step up, every shot I feel is going in.”
On3 caught up with Isaiah Henry after a recent live viewing to talk about his recruitment.
“My only official visit so far has been to Clemson,” Henry said. “I’ve taken unofficials to Georgia, Georgetown, and South Carolina, too.”
Henry talks Clemson
“They care a lot about basketball,” Henry said. “Obviously, people like to label Clemson as a football school, because of their recent history and winning national championships. But, I mean, their, basketball is booming too, and you can’t overlook that.
“They have a great program, I mean, great facilities, things like that. And, they care a lot about me and they let me know they want me in their program. They want to develop me, and make me into the player they think I can be. That’s definitely something to think about that could get me to the next level. One thing that stuck out to me about the visit was they made a whole presentation of players they have developed who are like me.
“Watching them play, they like passing and moving the ball around. And they’re always competitive. Coach (Brad) Brownell is a hard coach and that’s what you’re somebody you want. You don’t want somebody that is going to be laid back. You want somebody that will stay on to get the best out of you. To me, that shows how much he cares for his players.”
Georgia, South Carolina, and Georgetown
Georgia: “They have a basketball program too and it shouldn’t be overlooked. They have a great team. One of my North Carolina boys, Silas Demary, he’s balling out down there right now, so that’s good.
“And they’re just making me a priority, they constantly let me know how they feel about me. It’s a great school. They have great facilities and great coaches. I talk to Coach (Mike) White, all of the coaches basically, and, they care a lot about me, and want me to be a part program.”
South Carolina: “What stands out with them, the main thing about them is just the coach. Coach (Lamont) Paris feels I can come in and make an impact right away and he tells me how he loves my game. We had a South Carolina assistant (Eddie Shannon) at my game the other day. He texted me almost immediately after the game and let me know how well I played.
“It means a lot too, that they would come out and watch me. They care about me as a basketball player and a person, and they care a lot about my family. They are just building relationships. And even though they came in a little later than most schools, it still means a lot, just building relationships and things like that.

“I also love their flow. They had one of my CP3 boys, GG Jackson, and you see what they got him, they got him into the league, one-and-done. So that is something to look at too.
Georgetown: “Coach (Ed) Cooley is just a cool dude. I mean, he cares a lot about basketball, and he cares a lot about you as a person. He also knows exactly who I am as a player, and he loves my game. He feels I can come in and make an immediate impact there.
“Just talking with him, he cares a lot about who you are as a player, but also as a human and a man. And that means a lot to me. So just talking to Coach Cooley, he’s trying to build his classes and the program. So that’s special.”
Henry Talks Recruitment
“Right now, I don’t have any other official visits set,” Isaiah Henry said. “I don’t plan on taking any more this year, but I want to see all the schools that are recruiting me hard. So I might take like five or ten official visits next year.
“I’ve heard some from Xavier; I’m talking to them. Virginia has been talking to me too.”
In His Words
“The, main thing is I wanna come in and play right away,” Henry said. “I don’t wanna be red-shirted or anything like that. I’ll want to come in and make an immediate impact. I don’t have to be a starter, but I want to play.
“I will also look at what they’ve done to other players, like me. How they’ve developed them, have they gotten anyone to the league? What have they done with people my size? That just means a lot,. to see what they’ve done to players my size, and how they developed them over the years.
“And then, I want to just go somewhere, and be comfortable, and just play; be free.”
