4-star SG Isaiah Ward recaps Texas Tech visit; talks early Mississippi State, New Mexico State recruitment
Isaiah Ward is the No. 37 player in the 2026 On3 150. The 6-foot-6 sophomore wing at San Antonio (TX) William J. Brennan High is averaging 14.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 59.1 percent from the field.
“I really pride myself on being a swiss army knife,” Ward told On3. “Being able to guard one through five. i play hard and with a high motor on both ends of the floor. I watch a lot of Anthony Black, and how he can play multiple positions. And Cason Wallace with how he plays defense.”
On3 was able to catch up with four-star Isaiah Ward recently to get an update on his recruitment.
“My latest offer is from Texas Tech,” Ward said. “I was on campus for their game against Kansas.”
Ward talks recruitment
TEXAS TECH: “My favorite part of the facilities were the practice gym and the weight room. I talked with their strength coach and was very interested in his philosophy. The atmosphere of the game was wild. The crowd stood up the whole time and was loud the whole time.”
Ward recently also received offers from Mississippi State and New Mexico State.
MISSISSIPPI STATE: “I actually just watched their game against LSU, and it was a 20 ball, Coach (David) Anwar was who I talked to when I received my offer. The way they play pack line defense is already something I have done before.”
