Jace Posey, son of NBA champion James Posey, down to 2 schools

Houston (Texas) Strake Jesuit four-star recruit Jace Posey tells On3 he’s down to two schools — TCU and George Mason.
The 6-foot-4 shooting guard is the son of three-time champion and 12-year NBA veteran James Posey. He is now currently an assistant coach with the Washington Wizards.
Jace Posey has officially visited each of his finalists. The Texas native was scheduled to also visit Vanderbilt and Arizona State in the month of September, but those trips will no longer occur.
Memphis, Miami, DePaul, and Texas A&M also extended scholarships to Posey.
Posey is ranked as the No. 106 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies.

Posey breaks down his final two schools
TCU: “TCU was my second offer. I’ve been talking to them consistently for the longest and I’ve enjoyed the journey. I enjoy talking to the coaches and players. I like the feel of their community and I feel like I can advance academically there also.”
George Mason: “George Mason offered a little later in the process but, we’ve still managed to keep a good connection. I honestly didn’t know a lot about the school until I did my research, but I’m glad they gave me a call. I’ve been in constant contact with the coaches and really formed a bond with the players and the coaches during my visit. Very nice and welcoming students.”
Posey is nearing a decision, as he plans to announce his commitment sometime next week.
