5-star QB Jackson Arnold starts playoffs with four TDs
Denton (Texas) Guyer five-star quarterback and Oklahoma commit Jackson Arnold opened the 2022 Texas state playoffs with a four-touchdown performance Friday night.
Arnold threw for 230 yards and two touchdowns on 16 of 22 passing. He also added 36 rushing yards and two scores on the ground as Denton Guyer rolled over Flower Mound (Texas) Marcus. 42-7.
The performance was just the latest in a string of games that has seen Arnold become one of the most productive players in the country. On3 National Recruiting Analyst Sam Spiegelman named Arnold to his All-Spiegelman Team earlier this week.
“It was evident as a junior, but even more so this year that Arnold is the ultimate gamer. He plays with a unique comfortability operating this offense and there might not be one quarterback I’d feel more comfortable winning a single game right now than Arnold. He’s playing decisively, aggressively attacking defenses downfield and is also playing near-flawless football in terms of making smart decisions.”

Arnold is the No. 14 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $585k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
