Jacksonville State transfer Zechariah Poyser sets visits to Auburn, Florida, LSU
Transfer DB Zechariah Poyser has announced three visits out of the transfer portal that he’ll take across the SEC.
On Tuesday morning, Poyser tweeted a graphic with announced visits for him to LSU, Auburn, and Florida. No dates or timelines were listed as part of that, though, from EL1TE Sports Management Group. This also comes following reports of mutual interest between him and the Gators on Monday.
Poyser just finished his second season with Jacksonville State as a redshirt freshman. He appeared in 18 games on their defense, specifically this fall with a dozen appearances in their secondary.
Poyser posted almost all of his collegiate statistics this year with the Gamecocks with 75 tackles overall, eight deflections, and four interceptions. He did have one of his picks as a true freshman during the year prior. With that, he tied for the team lead in interceptions, was second in deflections, and finished in fourth in tackles.
In the current ratings in On3’s 2025 Top Transfer Portal Players, Poyser is the No. 4 safety and the No. 62 overall player.

Per predictions on his next program based on RPM, Poyser is split between Auburn (46.7%) and LSU (40.7%).
Poyser is a native of Wildwood, Florida who was a part of the recruiting cycle in 2023.
With each of the defenses for the three programs not finishing in the Top-30, including two not in the Top-50, either of the Tigers as well as the Gators would like to add Poyser, one of the top available safeties in the portal, with each getting a visit at some point.
