Jaden Rashada set to enroll in March, join Arizona State for spring practice
Jaden Rashada will enroll at Arizona State on March 13 and join the football program in time for spring practice, two sources told On3.
Arizona State offers multiple spring sessions, allowing students to enroll in mid-March. The enrollment also gives Rashada the opportunity to join the Sun Devils for spring ball. A full spring practice schedule has not been announced, but the spring game is April 15.
Rashada announced his commitment to the Sun Devils on National Signing Day earlier this month, signing with the school later that day. After his national letter of intent was released by Florida, he took visits to TCU and Arizona State. Ultimately, Rashada – the No. 73 overall prospect in the 2023 class – picked the Sun Devils, where his father, Harlen, played defensive back in the early 1990s.
The decision to stay out West unites him with new ASU coach Kenny Dillingham, who built a strong relationship with Rashada throughout the recruitment process. An offense-minded coach, Dillingham was able to land a highly touted quarterback in his first recruiting cycle with the Sun Devils.
NIL fueled Jaden Rashada’s break-up with Florida
Rashada has been in the headlines for the past six weeks following his decision to not enroll at Florida. He flipped from Miami to the Gators in November. But cracks in the commitment started to show in December. Florida coach Billy Napier delayed his news conference on early national signing day, waiting for Rashada to send in his national letter of intent. Rashada never enrolled and eventually requested a release from his letter of intent. The athletic department granted his release January 20.

When he announced his flip to Miami in November, Rashada signed a four-year contract worth $13.85 million, The Athletic reported, with the Gator Collective. The NIL collective ultimately terminated the deal in early December.
Rashada currently has a $411,000 On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes.
The NIL fiasco ultimately led to the quarterback’s relationship with Florida falling apart. Leading up to the paperwork being filed for his release, Rashada’s camp tried to work out a new NIL agreement with parties affiliated with Florida, sources confirmed with On3. Whether the parties settle or Rashada goes the litigation route is unknown.
Now he has a start date at Arizona State.
