Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin 2025 four-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench still has a few years remaining in his high school career but he feels ready to make a college decision. That decision will come in the next month.

Ffrench spoke with On3 during the Overtime OT7 Finals in Los Angeles and said he will make his college decision on July 22.

“I decided on that last week,” Ffrench said. “It’s going to be national so it’s going to be great. Right now I’m narrowing down my schools even more. Seeing as much as I can and making this decision big in my recruiting process. I want to go out, see more schools and stuff like that.

“I want to find out where’s home.”

While he hasn’t officially narrowed down his top schools, Ffrench noted schools such as Alabama, Florida State, Ohio State and Penn State as ones he has interest in.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder is the No. 14 overall prospect and No. 4 wide receiver in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 3 player in Florida.

Ffrench was recently at Alabama and is set to return again in late July. The prospect of playing with 2024 five-star quarterback Julian Sayin is something he said intrigues him as well as 2025 Alabama five-star wide receiver commit Ryan Williams.

Florida State currently holds the lead in his recruitment according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. The Seminoles sit with a 25.6% chance to land his pledge.

Not only is Florida State the home state school, the Seminoles have already landed a pledge from Ffrench’s 2025 teammate and quarterback Tramell Jones.

“I just might end up with my quarterback,” Ffrench said regarding Jones. “Overall all of the schools I’m looking at have great chemistry and what I’m looking for.”
