Kalen DeBoer could not have asked for a better start in his inaugural SEC game as the Alabama head coach. After Georgia won the toss and deferred, Jalen Milroe led the offense down the field with ease for an opening drive touchdown. Milroe took the ball in himself, running into the end zone untouched.

Bryant-Denny Stadium went into a frenzy with the crowd celebrating and a red light show going off. Milroe was still celebrating though, hitting the famous LeBron James “Silencer” after going up 7-0 against Georgia.

A personal touch was added by Milroe, flexing, dipping, and going back into the dip. Right tackle Elijah Pritchett got in on the action as well, joining his quarterback.

You can check out the celebration from Milroe, with the comparison made by ESPN’s SportsCenter, here.

Milroe is hoping to get another touchdown celebration or two in tonight against Georgia. Through one drive, mission accomplished and the quarterback made sure it was a good one. Alabama sports an early 7-0 lead in what’s a massive game for both programs.

ABC experiences audio issues before Alabama-Georgia game

Game of the week, if not year, is about to take place in Tuscaloosa. Alabama and Georgia are set to battle in Bryant-Denny Stadium, being the first-ever matchup between Kalen DeBoer and Kirby Smart. ESPN has been in town for the entire weekend with the game set to be broadcasted on ABC.

Unfortunately, there have been some audio technical difficulties in the booth. Thankfully only during the pregame show, Herbstreit was in the middle of talking about the stakes on the line. And then all of a sudden, people at home cannot hear the ESPN analyst.

“Both of these teams have so much pride,” Herbstreit began. “And they want to be the big dog. They want to be the bar in college football. It’s a great discussion –“

From there, the audio from Herbstreit is cut off. Fowler begins to talk shortly after but nothing is coming from his end either. The ESPN broadcast then puts up a graphic discussing the win streak Georgia is and nothing is heard behind it. Eventually, Fowler comes back after around 20 seconds of silence.
