Waco (Texas) Connally four-star cornerback Jamarion Vincent has committed to Baylor, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Thursday.

He chose the hometown Bears while also holding Power Four offers from the likes of Texas, Kansas State, Houston, TCU and Nebraska.

Vincent is the No. 292 overall prospect and No. 19 CB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 39 player in Texas.

“Baylor is doing something special and I’m ready to be a part of it,” Vincent told Fawcett.

The 6-foot-2, 165-pounder becomes commitment No. 6 for head coach Dave Aranda and Co. in the 2026 cycle. While it’s early in the cycle, the Bears’ class currently ranks No. 1 in the Big 12 and No. 16 in the nation, per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Vincent doubles as a quarterback at the high school level for Connally. He threw for nine touchdowns and ran for an additional 14 in the 2024 season. He tallied over 1,900 total yards and also accumulated 34 tackles and an interception.

Baylor lands another blue-chip in-state prospect

Vincent is the second blue-chipper out of Waco to commit to Baylor in as many days. On Wednesday, Waco University four-star wide receiver London Smith announced his pledge to the Big 12 program. All six members of Baylor’s 2026 class to date hail from the Lone Star State.

Honey Grove four-star athlete Ryelan Morris is currently the top-ranked member of the class, checking in as the No. 148 overall prospect in the cycle. He was the first to join the class, committing at the end of July 2024.

Morris, Smith and Vincent are all top-300 prospects. Southlake Carroll three-star running back Davis Penn also committed this month and is a top-40 RB in the cycle. Austin Liberty Christian three-star quarterback Quinn Murphy pledged back in August, while Mesquite Horn offensive tackle Kole Seaton committed in November. Murphy is the No. 50 QB in the cycle.
