4-star DL Jaray Bledsoe commits to Texas Longhorns
Jaray Bledsoe, the No. 69 prospect in the Class of 2022, has committed to the Texas Longhorns.
The 6-foot-4, 280-pound small school defensive lineman selected Texas over Texas A&M, TCU and Baylor. Texas was the lone official visit Bledsoe made in June. He made an unofficial visit to Texas A&M to end July.
Bledsoe of Marlin, Texas, becomes the 19th commitment for Steve Sarkisian in the 2022 cycle. He’s a member of a very talented class of defensive line commits that includes No. 55 Kristopher Ross and No. 157 Aaron Bryant.
With the commitments from four-stars Bryant and Bledsoe, the Longhorns remain in the hunt for a top-10 recruiting class. The pair of additions give Texas 10 On300 commitments.
Scouting Jaray Bledsoe
On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power is a big fan of Jaray Bledsoe.
“The first thing that jumps out about Jaray Bledsoe is his athleticism,” Power said. “This is a big-framed defensive lineman who ran for over 1,200 yards and 21 touchdowns as a running back. He’s highly disruptive on defense, too. Bledsoe has high-end first-step quickness and is a violent finisher in the backfield. The on-field talent and upside are undeniable.”

Michigan prepared to offer No. 1 recruit $10.5M over 4 years
Blesdoe literally burst onto the recruiting scene following his junior season at small school Bremond High. A teammate of Bledsoe put together a HUDL highlight reel and posted from Bledsoe’s Twitter handle.
Shortly after, the phone began ringing in the Bremond coaching office and the offers poured in. Baylor offered first Dec. 19. Then Oklahoma State Dec. 24. The month of January saw offers from Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Texas, Oregon, TCU, Florida, LSU, Georgia and Alabama materialize.
Bledsoe transferred from Bremond High back to his hometown of Marlin this summer. He played his freshman and sophomore seasons at Marlin High.
