The home of Nashville Christian five-star quarterback Jared Curtis has hosted myriad college head coaches throughout January. Two more SEC skippers dropped by on Thursday.

Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze and South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer are the latest to visit Curtis, who continues to maneuver through what’s been a jam-packed recruitment.

Earlier this month, Curtis, a former Georgia commit, trimmed his list of top schools down to six. Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Ohio State, Oregon and South Carolina all made the cut for the No. 4 overall prospect and top-ranked QB in the 2026 cycle.

He then set three official visits and is now set to see the Ducks, Bulldogs and Gamecocks in June. An April visit to North Carolina has also been set after a visit from new Tar Heels skipper Bill Belichick. The process has been fluid for Curtis since he reopened his recruitment in October.

“It was awesome,” Curtis told On3 after sitting down with Belichick. “Getting to meet him and talk to him for the first time. I reached out two days prior to that and they showed me coming immediately showed the interest they have in me.

Both Auburn and South Carolina have been pushing hard for the 6-foot-3.5, 225-pounder since before he decommitted from UGA. Both teams have gotten off to solid starts recruiting the 2026 cycle, too. Auburn’s class features six commits and ranks No. 3 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. South Carolina has five pledges and a list that ranks No. 12 early on.

Florida State head coach Mike Norvell, Ohio State offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart and Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer have all been by to check in on Curtis this month, too.

“I will wait until official visits to make my decision,” Curtis told On3’s Chad Simmons in December. “I will get out more. When official visits open up, I will get down on some visits, see the school and see what I like about it.

“The factors when I make a decision will be the coaching staff, my relationship with the coaching staff and the class they bring in this year. Those and the class I would bring in with me would be the biggest things.”

As a junior, Curtis led Nashville Christian to a 13-1 record and a state title in the fall. Across 14 games, he threw for 2,830 yards and 40 touchdowns while also rushing for 637 yards and an additional 18 scores.
