WATCH: Jarvis Landry announces return to Louisiana, signing with New Orleans Saints
Jarvis Landry is headed back to Louisiana and the former LSU Tigers star took to social media to express his excitement about signing with the New Orleans Saints.
Landry finished his tenure at LSU as one of the most productive wide receivers in school history. He had 137 catches for 1,809 yards and 15 touchdowns while playing in 48 games with 12 starts during three years for the Tigers. Landry had his season as a junior when he caught 77 passes for 1,193 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Jarvis Landry was a second-round selection for the Miami Dolphins in 2014.
Although Landry has thrived in the NFL for the Dolphins and Browns, he had a career low in production last season, only catching 52 passes for 570 yards. Disagreements with the Browns franchise led to him being released and free to sign with whatever team he pleased for the 2022 season. Now, Landry will be heading back to his home state of Louisiana after also playing his college football there.
Jarvis Landry is coming off of a season where he played 12 games, hauling in 52 receptions for 570 yards and two touchdowns, all of which are career lows. In his four years with the Browns, Landry has played in 59 games with 288 receptions for 3,560 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Prior to coming to Cleveland, Landry spent four years with the Miami Dolphins after being selected in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft out of LSU. With the Dolphins, Landry had 400 receptions for 4,038 yards and 22 touchdowns in 64 games.
The Browns initially granted the wide receiver permission to seek a trade, but later released him. Landry recently switched agents which led to his signing with the Saints.
“Per NFLPA records, Landry now has a new agent,” Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio said. “Landry previously was represented by Damarius Bilbo of Klutch Sports. According to the NFLPA, Landry is now represented by Roosevelt Barnes and Jovan Barnes.”
