3-star WR Jason Duclona commits to UCF
Estero (Fla.) three-star wide receiver Jason Duclona announced his commitment to UCF on Monday. He chose the Knights over offers from multiple programs, including Illinois, Minnesota and North Carolina.
Duclona is the No. 839 overall prospect and No. 119 wide receiver in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 129 player in Florida.
On3 rates Duclona higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though he is not ranked in the 2023 On300, he is the No. 93 wide receiver and No. 91 player in Florida.
Duclona was previously committed to Rutgers. His pledge to the Scarlet Knights lasted from June 14 to Sept. 26.
Now, the 6-foot-1, 175-pound wideout is headed to Orlando. He is the 12th commit in UCF’s 2023 recruiting class.

Landing Duclona is a big win for Knights head coach Gus Malzahn and his staff, since he is the first wide receiver to commit to the program this cycle. The Florida native slots in as UCF’s 10th-highest-ranked pledge, just behind Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Gibbons three-star quarterback Dylan Rizk.
Meanwhile, the Knights’ class is led by Kissimmee (Fla.) Osceola four-star defensive lineman John Walker, the No. 99 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus. UCF also has commitments from twin brothers Andrew Harris and Michael Harris, four-star linebackers who attend Altamonte Springs (Fla.) Lake Brantley.
Others players committed to the Knights are Lake Mary (Fla.) three-star cornerback Braeden Marshall, Apopka (Fla.) three-star EDGE Kaven Call, Panama City (Fla.) A. Crawford Mosley three-star tight end Randy Pittman and Savannah (Ga.) Calvary Day School three-star linebacker Troy Ford. Pittman was UCF’s most recent pledge, prior to Duclona, on Oct. 8.
Duclona has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6.2K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
