Jax Forrest, No. 2 recruit, teammate of Bo Bassett, releases Top 10 schools in 2026 wrestling recruitment
Jax Forrest, the No. 2 overall recruit in the Class of 2026, announced his top 10 schools to continue his wrestling career.
The Bishop McCort (Pa.) product is teammates with No. 1 prospect Bo Bassett. Bassett is currently down to 18 schools in a much hyped recruiting saga. He’ll be down to 17 Wednesday this week.
Forrest and Bassett are currently being chronicled by FloWrestling amid their recruiting journeys. Both are considered program changing prospects.
According to the graphic, which is just pinned locations, Forrest narrowed it down to a few conferences. Forrest’s top 10 in no order are: Penn State, Lehigh, NC State, North Carolina, Ohio State, Michigan, Iowa, Iowa State, Nebraska and Oklahoma State.
It should be noted the schools were not listed by name on his graphic. So the above list is based on locations, prior visits and multiple reports.

Forrest is the No. 2 pound-for-pound recruit in the Class of 2026, behind Bassett, per MatScouts. He’s a 2022 U17 World Silver Medalist and was a 2024 Pennsylvania State champion.

He already visited Michigan with Bassett as revealed on his Instagram over the weekend.
Forrest could be a program changer as well and recently showcased his tremendous wrestling ability at the Senior World Team Trials. Just a junior in high school, Forrest stood out by taking 3rd/4th at the tournament at 61 KG.“3rd(4th) at 61kg Senior World Team Trials is not what I wanted but it was Gods plan for me,” Forrest wrote. “I’m not where I want to be yet, but i’m closer than I was yesterday.”
