Four-star CB Jayden Sanders commits to Michigan
Kilgore (Texas) High On300 cornerback Jayden Sanders announced his commitment on Saturday.
“My choice is Michigan,” the four-star told On3.
The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Sanders chose the Maize and Blue over his other finalists in Baylor and Oklahoma State.
“The thing that made them right for me is the development of players in my position, the program’s history and the school itself,” Sanders elaborated.
“The players show that everyone has bought into the vision of competing for a top spot. Michigan has the top three business school in the country and with the pros not being a guarantee, a degree from the Ross School of Business is priceless.”
Sanders is tabbed by the On3 Industry as the nation’s No. 27 cornerback and No. 234 prospect overall. On3 ranks him higher, putting him at No. 21 and No. 203 nationally.

One of the jewels of the class
Sanders becomes commit No. 16 for head coach Sherrone Moore and his staff in the 2025 cycle. The secondary is one of the strengths as he joins four-star safeties in Ivan Taylor and Kainoa Winston. Sanders becomes the first cornerback in the class.
Future position coach Lamar Morgan led the efforts in recruiting Sanders to Ann Arbor.
“My relationship with Coach Morgan and the other coaches is a reason also,” Sanders said of why he committed. “They have worked overtime to grow a relationship with me since I got the offer.”
Sanders visited Michigan twice this summer including the Barbecue at the Big House at the end of July.
“Michigan keeps developing NFL corners with their defensive scheme and even with the coaching and staff changes, I fit the athletic profile of their corners,” Sanders explained. “They’ve proven their DB development works.”
Other offers for Sanders included TCU, SMU, Michigan State, Northwestern and Texas Tech.
