3-star SG Jaylon Dean-Vines down to 5 schools
Jaylon Dean-Vines, a three-star shooting guard in the 2025 class, has cut his list to five programs: Louisville, Texas A&M, UCF, Vanderbilt, and West Virginia.
It should be noted that each of his finalists have extended scholarships, besides Louisville. The Cardinals have recently shown interest.
The 6-foot-2 rising senior is a native of Dallas, Texas, but will attend PPHoenix Prep (AZ) for his senior season.
Texas A&M is the only school in his top group that Vines has visited (an unofficial in January). He says he plans to return to College Station for an official visit, as well as Vanderbilt. However, no visits are currently scheduled.
Vines broke down each of his finalists in an interview with On3.

UCF: “I’m really cool with the coaching staff and I think the school could fit me well with the play style of how they play.”
West Virginia: “I’m getting recruited by Coach Frazier and I love his mindset. He loves dogs and a dog is what I am!”
Vanderbilt: “I think Vanderbilt is a good fit for me. The coaching staff is really good. They just got a new head coach so I think that would help me also and they also have very good education.”
