Jeremiah Green is a top-10 point guard in the 2025 class. The 6-foot-3 junior from Denton, Texas recently transferred to powerhouse Sunrise Christian Academy (KS). Since the move, Green has seen his recruitment heat up as he’s taken visits to Auburn, Houston (unofficial), Oklahoma State, and Texas A&M in the past few months.

Green, a four-star recruit, discussed each visit with On3.

Green recaps recent college trips

Texas A&M: “Overall, I thought it was great. I liked getting to know the staff more and getting to talk to Coach Buzz (Williams) a lot. Then, seeing how they envision the plan for me whenever I get there. Just being around the players, the atmosphere is really good. It’s like they’re all family. They all get along and then on the court, they win too. So that’s a big plus for me.”

Auburn: “I thought Auburn was great too. It’s kind of like A&M, really family. I talked to coach (Bruce) Pearl a lot. Just the way they play with their guards, like the past guards — Sharife Cooper, Jared Harper, and Aden Holloway now. Their play style I really like. The area was a great too.”

Oklahoma State: “I thought that was really good too. I’ve known them for awhile and I’ve been to Oklahoma State a ton, with team camps and stuff. So just getting to see everybody again and getting to build more of a relationship. Also seeing what they have planned for me too and hearing from the players what its like over there, the lifestyle, how the coaching staff loves on them and cares about them like they’re their own sons.”

Houston: “We did a lot for me being there one day. I really got to know coach Quannas (White) and coach (Kelvin) Sampson really well in that time. Just being around the culture was a big plus for me with just the way they do things. They win. Off the court, they try to treat it like the NBA as much as possible. They’re also really big on family too because coach Sampson has his son on the staff (Kellen).”

Green says he doesn’t plan to take anymore college visits until after the high school season. He plans to take an official visit to Houston, but that’s the only one he currently has planned.

Jeremiah Green’s relationship with Kansas State

Jerome Tang and Kansas State hosted Green for an unofficial visit last year. Since, the staff has kept in close contact and have continued to build a relationship with the Texas native.

“They’re like family to me,” Green says. “I’ve known them since the beginning of my freshman year so I’m just continuing to build a relationship. It has been very helpful. Just the way they play, the way they do everything, its really, really good.”

What he’s looking for in a college program

While Jeremiah Green isn’t super close to making a decision, he does know what he’s looking for in a school.

“Somewhere I could go make an impact immediately,” he says. “Somewhere that they feel comfortable going through the highs and lows with me and somewhere I feel like I could develop the most and give it the best chance to go to league.”

Green also has a loose timeline for a commitment.

“I think anywhere from the middle of summer this year to the start of my senior year.”

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Green is the No. 57 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
