Jeremy Fears: "I'm trying to get Xavier Booker and Devin Royal to come with me"
Jeremy Fears committed to Michigan State on January 6. Michigan State targeted and got their man early in the process, the point guard, the extension of the coach on the floor.
We all know in college basketball, one of the biggest tasks of coaches is recruiting. So it is only natural that the extension of the coach puts his recruiting hat on as well.
“I’m trying to get Xavier Booker and Devin Royal to come with me to Michigan State,” Fears told On3. “I think us three, that trio is hard to beat.”
Fears scouts Booker and Royal
Devin Royal is the No. 26 player in On3’s 2023 rankings. The 6-foot-6 forward is coming of an On3 MVP performance at the Pangos All-American Camp and an EYBL Louisville session that saw him average 23.4 points and 5.4 rebounds in the five-game session.

“Devin just took his official visit this past weekend. He can do it all, rebound, shoot the three, finish,” Fears said.
Xavier Booker has done nothing but blow up over the past two months. The 6-foot-11 forward from Indianapolis (IN) Cathedral High is now the No. 8 player in On3’s 2023 rankings.
“Book is a 6-foot-11 stretch-four, him and me in the pick and pop, you can’t stop,” Fears said.
Michigan State’s 2023 class
Michigan State has only extended nine offers in the 2023 class. Of the nine, Michigan State has brought in four for official visits; Xavier Booker, Devin Royal, Jeremy Fears, and four-star Milan Momcilovic.
