Windsor (Conn.) The Loomis Chaffee School four-star prospects and twin brothers Jacob Smith and Jerod Smith are down to 10 schools in their recruitment, they announced on Wednesday.

Among those included for the duo are: Alabama, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Penn State, Michigan, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Notre Dame, and Texas.

Jacob Smith is the No. 105 overall prospect and No. 13 edge rusher in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 1 player in Connecticut.

Jerod, meanwhile, is the No. 189 overall recruit nationally, No. 16 defensive lineman and No. 3 recruit in Connecticut.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has Notre Dame as the heavy favorite to land both brothers, with the Fighting Irish holding an 84.5 percent chance of doing so.

The pair told On3’s Chad Simmons in October that they currently plan to attend the same school at the next level.

“I feel we’ll probably end up going to the same school,” Jacob Smith said. “Just because we have similar interests and the same goals.”
