Former Florida State and Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher is out of coaching for the 2024 season. However, he’s going to stay around the game and is set to host a SiriusXM radio show with two former players.

E.J. Manuel and Jacob Hester both played for Fisher during their college careers, at Florida State and LSU respectively. Now, with the show “Off Campus,” the three are being reunited.

“I love talking about football almost as much as I love coaching,” Jimbo Fisher said. “I’m really excited to be joining the SiriusXM College Sports Radio team. I listen to the channel, have been a guest there many times, and now I get to host a show alongside two great players that I had the pleasure to coach. We’ve got another great season ahead of us, with exciting teams, players, and storylines. I’m looking forward to sharing what I think about it all, connecting with fans around the country, and sharing the passion we all have for our sport.”

“Off Campus” airs every weekday at 3:00 p.m. EST. On Tuesday, Fisher will join as an additional co-host.

Hester played for Fisher when Fisher was the offensive coordinator at LSU. He later became the offensive coordinator and later the head coach at Florida State. There, Fisher would coach Manuel.

For the 2013 season, Jimbo Fisher would win a national championship while the head coach at Florida State. He also won three conference championships while he was there. Later, he’d move on to coach the Texas A&M Aggies, getting fired late during the 2023 season. That makes 2024 the first season that he hasn’t been a college coach since 1988.

Jimbo Fisher is looking ahead to his coaching future

Despite how things ended at Texas A&M and his new radio show, Jimbo Fisher still has a love of coaching and says that he’d be interested in returning to coaching for the right opportunity.

“There is only so much you can hunt and fish before you want to get back in,” Jimbo Fisher said. “I’ll be watching a lot of film this year and see if there the right opportunity for me to get back into it next season”

Fisher was a head coach in college for 14 different seasons across two schools. He had an overall record of 128-48 with that national championship at Florida State.
