“It’s the whole LSU family, everybody, the whole staff wants me there,” Rogers said to Spiegelman on May 22. “I talk to everybody every week… It’s just crazy. They are making sure they keep the best in-state talent home. Being from here, maybe I’m biased, but we grow up in harsh conditions in Louisiana. We have a chip on our shoulders. The talent is different here. The want-to on top of that, LSU is moving in the right direction by getting as many kids from The Boot as possible.”
The four-star also discussed his interest in Alabama and TCU.
Alabama: “I like the communication (from Coleman Hutzler and Travaris Robinson). We communicate consistently and that shows they really want me. It’s both ways and I’ve gotten a lot of good feedback from them.
“There’s a great opportunity there to be coached by some of the best and some of the most well-known coaches in college football history,” he added. “Coach T-Rob is a great coach. I saw him at practice this spring and I love the way he coaches.”
TCU: “Me and coach (Paul) Gonzalez talk a lot and I’m excited to finally get up there and see the environment and see if it’s somewhere I might want to go. I want to see if it’s a good fit for me because I already know what I’d be getting as far as coaching in Coach G.”
