WATCH: Johnny Manziel shows off familiar moves with touchdown to Terrell Owens
The Fan Controlled Football League just provided NFL fans with a dream scenario for a touchdown turned reality. Former Texas A&M and Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel delivered a strike to former Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens with this pass across his body.
Manziel and Owens are two of the more polarizing individuals to play the game of football. Manziel lit up the college football scene from his first start. In his redshirt freshman year, the former Texas A&M Aggie set and broke multiple NCAA Division 1 and SEC records. He ended that season with a king’s ransom worth of awards, including the Davey O’Brien Award and the Heisman Trophy.
Terrell Owens, for some, is considered among the greatest receivers to ever play the game. Owens made a name for himself in the NFL, hauling in spectacular touchdown catches, blowing the tops off defenses, and generally knowing how to have a good time doing it. He ended his NFL career third all-time in receiving yards with 15,934 and in touchdown catches with 153.
Although this connection did not happen on an NFL field, it is good to see that bold players are still staying competitive and active in the game they love. And while the touchdown catch drew oohs and awes from those in attendance, Owens and Manziel’s team, the Zaps, were routed by a score of 42-6.
Pat McAfee in talks to contribute to Amazon’s NFL broadcasts
Could Pat McAfee be joining forces with Amazon? A new report suggests it’s a possibility.
McAfee has been in talks with Amazon about potentially contributing to the streaming service’s Thursday Night Football coverage, according to the New York Post’s Ryan Glasspiegel. Glasspiegel added nothing is final, but talks are ongoing.

In addition, the two sides have talked about airing McAfee’s daily show on Amazon Prime. The show currently airs on YouTube and SiriusXM and will for the foreseeable future. McAfee recently signed a huge extension with FanDuel to continue hosting the program.
Prior to Glasspiegel’s report, McAfee tweeted something might be coming down the pipeline. New TNF analyst Kirk Herbstreit also weighed in, adding to the cryptic nature of McAfee’s tweet.
“Let’s all keep it cool but like.. I’m 1000% UP TO SOMETHING,” McAfee tweeted Tuesday.
“Finally comin to GD?!??” Herbstreit retweeted. “Cmon now…it’s time!!!”
On his show earlier this week, McAfee made it clear he didn’t want to be the color analyst alongside Al Michaels despite calls from fans to take the position. Still, a new role could be on the horizon for the former Indianapolis Colts punter.
