Penn State transfer CB Jon Mitchell commits to Georgia Tech

Penn State transfer cornerback Jon Mitchell committed to Georgia Tech, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. He is the top available cornerback in the transfer portal.
Mitchell made six appearances as a true freshman in 2024, recording five total tackles. Because two of those games were in the College Football Playoff, he was still able to preserve a redshirt, meaning he will have all four years of eligibility remaining.
Mitchell recorded all his statistics during the regular season. He had two tackles in a game twice, doing so against Kent State and Maryland.
